Plains to Peaks brings regenerative principles and practices to the Front Range — building fire-resilient, climate-adapted landscapes that are as functional as they are beautiful.
"Every project starts with two conversations — one with our client, one with the land. The best designs emerge where those two meet."
— Plains to Peaks Design Philosophy
Who We Are
Plains to Peaks Landscaping was founded on a core belief: your outdoor space should work with Colorado's ecology, not against it. Utilizing regenerative and permaculture design practices, we create landscapes that reduce water demand, support local wildlife, build healthy soil, and look stunning year-round.
We serve homeowners across Boulder County and surrounding areas — from Longmont to Boulder, Lyons to Nederland — with the same commitment to craftsmanship and ecological integrity on every project.
What We Do

We design living landscapes rooted in regenerative and permaculture principles — systems that build soil health, capture water, and grow stronger over time without heavy inputs or constant maintenance.

Boulder County's fire risk is real. We create certified defensible space across all three zones — protecting your home while maintaining a landscape that's beautiful, not barren.

Patios, pathways, and retaining walls built to last — crafted from natural stone to high quality paver products that complement Colorado's landscape while adding lasting value and usability to your property.

How It Works
We visit your property, assess the land, your goals, and any wildfire considerations.
For larger or more complex projects, we develop a tailored design plan. For single projects — a hardscape, sheet mulching, or specific planting — we can skip straight to installation if you already know what you want.
Our experienced crew handles every detail — from hardscaping foundations to plant placement — with care and precision.
We're available for seasonal maintenance and guidance as your landscape matures and establishes itself.
Why Plains to Peaks
We're not a national franchise. We're your neighbors in Boulder County — and we've spent years studying this specific landscape, climate, and fire ecology so your project benefits from that experience.
We also partner with local designers to ensure your project fits your specific style and vision — bringing the right creative expertise to every job.
Call us for projects anywhere on the Front Range:
Our designs are grounded in regenerative and permaculture ethics — care of earth, care of people — not just what's trendy this season.
We know Colorado's droughts, late frosts, Chinook winds, and clay soils — and we design for all of them.
We stay current with Colorado's defensible space guidelines and wildfire research as it evolves.
You'll always know what's happening. We stay in contact from first consultation through final walkthrough.
About the Owner
Sinjin brings over a decade of landscaping experience across Pennsylvania, Florida, and Colorado — grounded in a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a background in integrative health and wellness. It was through that health lens that regenerative landscaping clicked: outdoor environments that are genuinely good for the people who use them and the ecosystems they're part of.
Pennsylvania born and raised, Sinjin fell in love with Colorado's scenery, ecology, and lifestyle and moved to the Front Range in 2020. When not building landscapes, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking, fishing, hunting, and backpacking. In the off season you'll find him in Brazil with his wife and family.
"What I love most is that we get to co-create with the land and the people. We build environments where families and communities can thrive outdoors — in a way that makes sense for the homeowner and for the local ecology. We turn ideas into living, breathing spaces that bring a higher quality of life."
"Plains to Peaks Landscaping did excellent work for us. We contracted with Sinjin over a two year period to build stone walls, terraces and pathways in our garden. Sinjin was very reliable, knows his stone, has a great aesthetic sense, and was willing to accommodate our specialized needs. We recommended Sinjin to our neighbors, who also had a great experience."
"I'm completing the tasks suggested by Boulder County wildfire partners' assessment of my property and I like to give a shout out to a helpful resource: Sinjin Larson with Plains to Peaks Landscaping serving Longmont/Lyons area. Sinjin communicates well, is creative and thorough. Cleanup was meticulous. Sinjin went beyond my expectations and his suggestions saved me money. I recommend him without hesitation."
"I would absolutely recommend Plains to Peaks Landscaping. My wife and I decided to work with Plains to Peaks for a series of major outdoor projects on our home in Golden and we couldn't be happier with how everything came out. We loved the design we were given in the beginning and the quote was very competitive as well. Most importantly, Sinjin was very responsive throughout the process and completed the project efficiently and professionally. Thank you!"
